Privacy
My privacy policy
Short version: I collect your email address so I can send you the newsletter. That’s it.
Data
What I collect
- Your email address, when you give it to me, stored at Kit (opens in a new tab), the service that sends the newsletter.
- Aggregate page views, through Plausible (opens in a new tab), which I run on my own server rather than theirs. No cookies, no persistent identifiers, no cross-site anything, which is why you did not get a consent banner.
- Kit records link clicks and image loads by default. I do not act on them, I do not run “you didn’t open this” follow-ups, and I ignore open rates. What goes into an issue does not depend on who opened the last one.
Never
What I never do
- Sell, share, rent, or trade your address.
- Move it to another list. My studio’s client inquiries and this newsletter are two separate worlds and nothing crosses between them, in either direction.
- Put anything on this site behind your email address.
- Email you about anything other than Cleared.
Unsubscribe
How to unsubscribe
One click in the footer of any issue, effective immediately. Or write to hello at cleared dot page and I will delete you from the list and confirm it. Everything on this site stays readable either way.
This site
What this site loads
These pages are static files on Netlify. One thing reaches anyone else: the subscribe form, which posts to Kit. The analytics script comes from a server I run myself. That is the whole list. No embeds, no ad tech, no share buttons, no video players quietly watching you read.
The fonts come from this domain too. They are downloaded and subsetted when the site is built, so reading a page here does not announce it to a font server.
